On Thursday 14 May, at 1pm, Jannik Sinner will take the field at the Foro Italico to face Andrej Rublev in the quarter-finals of the Internazionali d’Italia.
The Italian gets there after beating Ofner on his debut, Popyrin in the second round and Pellegrino in the all-Italian derby of the third round. As for today’s match, the numbers are on his side, given that in the ten previous matches against the Russian Sinner he leads 7-3. The last meeting took place a year ago, in the round of 16 of Roland Garros 2025, won in three sets. Rublev’s run in this tournament has seen him overcome Kecmanovic, Davidovich Fokina and Basilashvili.
