It’s all true: Italian men’s tennis triumphed in the Davis Cup for the second time in a row (47 years after the last title, at the time of the great Adriano Panatta). Until a few years ago no one would have believed it, but it’s true: Italy has men’s tennis triumphed in the Davis Cup for the second time in a row (after 47 years since the last title, back in the days of the great Adriano Panatta). Thanks to a great one Matteo Berrettini and with the immense number 1 in the world Jannik Sinner the “salad bowl” remains in our country.
A truly unthinkable result just a few years ago for Italian tennis, which for decades has not rejoiced just for having reached a quarter-final. With a score of 2-0 our national team beats the Netherlands, in the first Davis Cup final in its history.

And with a difficult last game, from 40 to zero to 40 to 40, to reiterate the advantages that we are still the world champions.
Oh no, our men were great, but our women were no less, who a few days ago won the Billie Jean King Cup, the women’s equivalent of the Davis Cup. And with Jasmine Paolini, in the top 10 in both singles and doubles and with one nomination for the WTA Award both as best player of the year and as couple of the year together with Sara Errani.
Results that demonstrate how, behind the champion Jannik Sinnerthat a candidate to be remembered as among the greatest in the history of tennis (also winner of the 2024 ATP Finals), there is a squad that we haven’t seen for a long time.
Congratulations, we are proud of all of you!
