In Val di Non, at Lake Santa Giustina, an extraordinary being appeared: the Radicosauro. It does not come from the Jurassic, but was born from the creative mind of Marco Martolar, the sculptor of the woods, which with this vegetable creature, partly feline and partly reptile, He really exceeded himself.
Made with roots of plants arrived at the end of their life, collected right on the banks of the lake, the Radicosaur is an imposing creature, 5 meters high and 7 long, with an essentially peaceful nature. Martolar, on his Instagram profile, explained that- he only reveals to children- and that- feeds exclusively with sun and water, and that is why it can often be sighted near rivers and lakes.

In addition to being composed of natural recovery materials, the radicalosaur has been placed in a position that allows it to evolve over time, adapting to changes in the water level, which in certain periods can partially submerge it, and the seasons.

It is not the first time that Martolar uses natural elements as a raw material for his works. A well -known example is the “Dragon Vaia”, created with the woods demolished by the 2018 Vaia storm, then burned and rebuilt. Not to mention the Pradel bear, of the Wolf of the Lagorai of Levico Terme, of the Airone di Colado and many other fixed or itinerant works born from his extraordinary imagination.
