Lego, the largest set in the world, the scale Sagrada Familia, will be on sale from November (but the price isn’t for everyone)

The Sagrada Familia is finally about to be finished, and Lego celebrates the historic milestone with the largest set in the world: over 12 thousand bricks reconstruct in scale the famous unfinished masterpiece of Antoni Gaudigiving life to another miniature masterpiece. But the set is for collectors: it will be sold starting November 1st for 749.99 EUR.

A wonderful journey, which led the set to beat all previous records, from Eiffel Tower of over 1 meter and 10 thousand pieces to the famous globe which was close to 12 thousand pieces. Let it be clear – however – that we are talking about records achieved by pieces on sale, because in reality some sets presented by artists clearly exceed 12 pieces, such as the splendid Trevi Fountain Of Maurizio Lampismade up of over 20 thousand bricks.

The construction of Sagrada Familia – this is one of the most evocative things – it retraces how Gaudì’s work was built: in fact, we start from the apse and the crypt, then move on to the Nativity facadethe only one completed personally by Gaudí alive (as we know, the famous architect died when he was hit by a tram while he was on the construction site of the basilica).

Only later were the naves, sacristies as well as the large facades that made the monument famous, and finally the six main towers that dominate the profile of the basilica.

The only negative note (as often happens with these collector’s sets) is the price: the Sagrada Familia Lego, in fact, on sale from November 1st, will cost 749.99 EUR.

It is already possible to pre-order the set on the Lego website.
