Everyone ready fordawn on March 17th for the “celestial trio” Moon-Mercury-Mars. The event, rather rare and very fascinating, will be perfectly visible to the naked eye (weather permitting). We don’t miss out!
As the UAI explains, in the early morning of March 17, the very thin waning crescent Moon rises accompanied by the planets Mars and Mercury, in the constellation of Aquarius (in the map the sky of March 17, 2026 at approximately 6.00 am).
The conjunction may not be very easy to spot, considering that it will not be the middle of the night, but we must not be discouraged because all three stars will not be very low on the horizon. It’s always better to stay anyway away from sources of light pollution and then – that’s always good – call on your luck a little.
Don’t miss it!
