License Bonus 2025, click day starts to get up to 2,500 euros: how to request the benefit

The click day for the License Bonus has officially started, the incentive promoted by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) to support young people who want to enter the road transport sector. The objective is twofold: to offer new job opportunities and fill the shortage of professional drivers in a crucial sector for the Italian economy such as road transport.

Who can request the bonus and for which licenses

The contribution is intended for Italian and foreign citizens between 18 and 35 years old, with a valid residence permit, who intend to obtain a category C, CE, C1, C1E, D, DE, D1 or D1E professional license, or the Driver Qualification Card (CQC). A and B licenses, intended for the private use of motorbikes and cars, are excluded. The bonus applies only once per person and is not bound by ISEE or income limits, making the measure accessible to a wide range of young people.

Amounts, expenses covered and methods of use

The 2025 Driving License Bonus covers up to 80% of the expenses incurred, with a maximum of 2,500 euros. Reimbursable costs include driving school registration, theoretical and practical lessons, exam fees and obtaining a driving license or CQC. The incentive is provided in the form of a digital voucher, which can only be used at accredited driving schools. Once received, the beneficiary has 60 days to activate it and 18 months to complete the training course.

How to apply and click day times

The request must be forwarded via the MIT online platform dedicated to the Good Road Transport License, accessible with SPID, CIE or CNS. Applications are accepted in chronological order until 31 December 2026 or until the available funds of approximately 4.7 million euros for this phase are exhausted.
