On 15 and 16 May 2025 the first edition of the Metaverse Sustainability Daysa free event, completely virtual and radically innovative, which was created to unite two apparently distant but increasingly interconnected worlds: that of the environmental sustainability and that of new immersive technologies. Promoted by Vanilla Innovations and hosted on the digital platform Enoverse.iothe event represents a turning point in ecological communication. Among the speakers there will also be Simona Falasca, director of Greenme, with an intervention dedicated to environmental communication in the digital age.
An immersive experience between the environment, ethics and technology
Forget the classic streaming conferences: the metaves sustainability days are much more. The event will take place in an interactive 3D space, Enverse’s Stephenson Hall, where users will be able to create an avatar, move virtually between stands, participate in workshops, listen to talk, attend vegan show cooking, explore art exhibitions and even listen to live music. A digital ecosystem created to break down geographical barriers and bring sustainability themes to anyone who has an Internet connection.
Born to create a new, concrete, participatory space, where to reflect on the challenges of economic, social and environmental sustainability in a totally immersive context, the event aims to connect people, companies and territories in a dialogue that exceeds the geographical and cultural boundaries, enabled by the potential of the metvers. Not a gathering for professionals, but an open call to anyone who wants to become an active protagonist of change. From young activists to aware adults, to simple curious.
It is not just about talking about sustainability, but of living it, “said Fabio Sarti, CEO of Vanilla Innovations.
“Through Enverse we want to build an environment in which the culture of sustainability is transmitted not as dogma, but as an experience.
Not only words: a tree for each participant
One of the most concrete and appreciable elements of the initiative is the “A Tree for the Planet” project, through which for each user registered and present at the event a tree will be planted. Thanks to the collaboration with Tree-Nation, the trees will be planted in the Mkussu community, Tanzania, contributing to the reforestation, protection of biodiversity and the support of local communities. A symbolic gesture, but also strongly practical: because talking about sustainability makes sense only if the words follow the facts.
The program: between panel, vegan cuisine and immersive exhibitions
In the dense program of panel and conferences, they stand out personalities such as Emanuele Bompan, director responsible for Renewable Matter, Francesca D’Angelo of Sustainability Consulting and Jacopo Corona, founder of the microbiscotic factory that will tell us a story of unique inclusion of its kind. Also noteworthy is the panel of Andrea Fumagalli who will give us an essay by his art by painting a live picture and Riccardo Penna who will offer us a “business-oriented” cross-section on the theme of electric cars.
The intervention of our director Simona Falasca will focus on how communication can (and must) evolve to cope with the challenges of sustainability. In an era in which the fake news and the Greenwashing They creep everywhere, voice, transparency and competence are needed. And it is precisely in environments such as the metvers that these battles can find new allies and new tools.
