Tamer Hamouda, an Egyptian citizen and ex-husband of Nessy Guerra, the young woman from Sanremo who has been living hidden in a place in Egypt for some time with her three-year-old daughter and her parents, was released from prison last Saturday. The woman was sentenced to six months of forced labor following a complaint of adultery filed by her ex-spouse.
Hamouda was arrested on June 9 after making threats to the Italian honorary consul in Hurghada. The court ordered his release upon payment of a bail of 5,000 Egyptian pounds, equivalent to just over 80 euros.
The news sparked the reaction of Nessy Guerra, who entrusted her outburst to Instagram: «He has been released from prison. Someone paid his bail. Freedom has a price of 80 euros. Is the safety of a woman and her daughter, after yet another threat, worth just over 80 euros? Is threatening the honorary consul of Hurghada worth less than 80 euros? Until?”.

The woman continues to live in hiding for fear of possible retaliation. In fact, among her major concerns would be the network of acquaintances and contacts that her ex-husband would have in Hurghada, a situation that forces her to keep her position secret together with the child.
