Oasis in the hospital: in Fiumicino nature also helps small patients

After those of Palermo, Bari, Padua and Naples also arrives in Fiumicino theOasis in the hospitala precious space dedicated to nature in which rehabilitation paths can be made between moments of tranquility and socialization between patients and families.

On March 4, in fact, it will also be inaugurated at Center for pediatric palliative care of the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital Passoscurowith the aim of improving the well -being of patients through creation within the hospital structures of natural spaces designed to welcome them, their families and the same staff of the structure.

The Oasis in the WWF Italy hospital are designed to insert contact with nature in the therapeutic paths of young patients, in particular those for long hospitalization, and of serene patients and families, also taking into account the educational objectives and schools that guarantee education and training, relationship and continuity to hospitalized students.

Walking immersed in the greenery, spending time in the garden, sitting near a pond or taking care of plants helps to find energy and above all to feel better, to relieve bad moods, to break down the anxieties and the rabbiae – even for the little ones – and, why not, to make you feel less pain.

And not only that, young patients will be able to hear some relief if they are engaged in didactic activitiesrecreational and creative related to the treatment of ecosystems and will be able to develop their motor skills and cognitive and learning skills, through the manual care of small plants or insects present.
