Oscar of Italian chocolate: these are the best tablets of 2025 (both dark and milk)

The ranking of the best Italian chocolate has finally been revealed which, like every year, is rewarded with the so -called “Oscar” of chocolate. We are talking about the new edition of one of the most prestigious awards for the cocoa sector: the Golden tabletassigned by the Chocolate Company.

Year after year, this competition celebrates the excellence of the world of chocolate ranging from classic tablets to other products such as cremini, gianduiotti, spreads, candied fruit and covered fruits. The 2025 edition saw a selection of 1300 references among which they emerged 21 winners, some of which are on equal merit.

The best products of this year were chosen after a meticulous selection process, which saw a variety of chocolates in the race, from the dark to gianduia, passing through milk and monorigine chocolates.

The award ceremony, which took place in the context of “The Mediterranean chocolates”, was one of the most anticipated moments of the event dedicated to the culture of cocoa, and took place in the Archaeo -industrial museum of Terra d’Otranto in Maglie, in Salento, where the public was able to taste the rewarded productions.

This year, judging by the words of Gilberto Mora, president of the Compagnia del Chocolatethe trends are evolving in an interesting way:

We have found a greater use of mono origin cocoa, also in milk chocolates and especially in high percentage cocoa sides. The level is very high.

Among the winners there is also an international recognition, assigned to the Ara Chocolat company for its 74%Chuao 120 Venezuela, chosen in collaboration with Leonardi Dolciumi of Ravenna.

The prize dedicated to communicative efficacy instead went to chocolate Maglio Connective Art by Spaghetti & Mandolino in collaboration with the Compagnia del Chocolate.

Of particular relevance this year the special prize for the Venezuelan agronoma engineer, Iraima Chacón de Ramírez, for his commitment to safeguard and spread the Critollo cocoa varieties.
