We don’t miss it show on June 17th: in the evening, a splendid one triangle Moon – Venus – Jupiter will illuminate the firmament straddling the constellation dei Twins and that of Canceraccompanied – with a bit of luck – also by the planet Mercury. But it doesn’t end here, because everything could be surrounded by Sagittariids of June, shooting stars which could give us some more satisfaction. It will be everything visible to the naked eye!
As the UAI explains, on the evening of June 17 we will admire another show: the angular distance between Venus and Jupiter has increased and the two planets continue to move away, but another protagonist is added to the meeting between celestial bodies: the crescent of the crescent moon approaches Venus.
With a bit of luck we will even be able to spot the stars Castor and Pollux of the constellation Gemini and, lower on the horizon, the planet Mercury. Weather permitting, that will be all visible to the naked eye (on the map the sky of June 17, 2026 at approximately 9.45 pm).

On June 15th – as we know – there was the peak of the Sagittariids in June, shooting stars. Among other things, as the IAU always reports, the swarm does not have a particularly marked maximum, and on June 15th the moon was in the New phase, so it is really possible that the show on the 17th will be surrounded by meteors.
