The purchase of the island by King: Wild is part of a long -term plan that aims to protect the area from future environmental threats, but for now this is all that is known about the Dicaprio project.

As well as the donation to the Galapagos islands, the story of the Guafo island is also an example of how the alliances between science, activism and government policies can converge to protect unique ecological value, giving hope for the future of our natural resources.
