Two young people seventeen by Massa Lubrense, Matteo Morvillo and Amedeo Valestrahave transformed their friendship and passions into an innovative project for fight food waste: the application “Cook“. Their idea combines the potential of theartificial intelligence with culinary art, offering a practical and sustainable solution to use the forgotten ingredients in the refrigerator or in the pantry.

The idea of ​​”cooking” was born in a moment of light -heartedness, during the return from a day to the sea. Matteo, passionate about technology and computer student, and Amedeo, future cook and student of food and wine, have decided to combine their talents to create something useful. Amedeo, who works in a kitchen, had noticed how much food was often forgotten and wasted. Matteo, on the other hand, knew the potential of artificial intelligence to solve daily problems. The app was born from this intuition.

“Cooking it” works in a simple and intuitive way. Enough photograph the available ingredients at home and the app suggests Personalized recipestaking into account any food intolerances or preferences, such as vegan and vegetarian options. Not only does it indicate the recipes, but also drive the user step by step, explaining quantities, dosages, cooking methods and even advice to present the dish at best.

While Amedeo took care the processing of recipes And the verification of the suggestions provided by artificial intelligence, Matteo has dedicated himself to technical partdealing with the development of the application, from design to functionality, up to the launch on the Apple Store and Google Play. The result is a free app, accessible and designed for everyone, from cooking enthusiasts to less experienced.

The launch of “Cucinalo” took place on December 27, 2024 and, in a month, has already collected promising numbers: Over 3,000 users and more than 200 kilos of food used Thanks to the recipes suggested by the app. The two boys are self -financedbelieving from the beginning in the strength of their idea, and now they are already thinking about how to improve the project.
