The debate: adequate formation or a risky shortcut with indirect?

The introduction of the so -called “TFA indire” has aroused a heated debate between experts and professionals. Among the critical voices, that of Professor stands out Ianesexpert in special pedagogy, who expressed strong perplexities about the training value of the proposed path.

According to I kis, the specialization on support cannot be reduced to a predominantly electronic process, with a strong risk of devaluation of professionalism of teachers. In particular, it disputes the absence of a practical internship for three -year -olds, claiming that the experience gained on the field cannot replace a path led by expertswhich allows to develop more advanced pedagogical and educational skills.

Furthermore, the question of, which could generate a system of Serie A and Serie B formation. This aspect risks penalizing the teachers who undertake the path, limiting their professional opportunities compared to colleagues who specialize through traditional university paths, which require a much larger commitment, with frequency and internship at mandatory schools.

“With these two measures, currently in the draft, the Ministry certifies the great delay in designing and seriously tackling an important question for the Italian school such as the specialization courses for educational support activities for pupils with disabilities, especially in the face of thousands of teachers already in possession of the title that today are not employed, while there are numerous pupils with disabilities who are without specialized professor.

In nine TFA cycles, Italian universities specialized about 200,000 teachers, guaranteeing specialist training that has been able to provide the knowledge necessary to support pupils with disabilities. On the other hand, in eight years the people who work with fixed -term contracts have doubled, while every year thousands of places in the staff of law remain vacant and as many in the de facto staff of which more than 100 thousand only on the support “, says the hot Uil.

Beyond the critical issues reported by the experts, therefore, thousands of teachers already specialized in Italy complain about one strong disparity of treatment Compared to those who have faced the traditional path of the TFA, while returning perfectly to the required requirements. Many of them are in a condition of Extreme psychophysical stresswith mental and physical energies now to the limit due to the characteristics of the path and the difficulties encountered along the way.

This situation raises further questions about the Equa and sustainable training management Support teachers, highlighting the need for a system that does not leave anyone behind and guarantee equal opportunities to all candidates. Nelil Ministry has already announced further meetings to clarify some critical aspects of the decree. It remains to be seen if and how the requests of experts and professionals in the sector will be implemented to improve the training system of support teachers in Italy.

“It is not new, in fact, that universities have not been put in a position to respond, through the TFA support, to the real needs of schools, determining strong territorial dysomogeneities as regards the presence of teachers specialized in the rankings of merits and substitutes. But even more serious the amnesty is expected for the specializations acquired abroad, without any verification of the quality of the paths and consistency with respect to the school inclusion system of our country. It is an escamotage to heal the delays of the procedures for recognizing these securities that are at the origin of a dispute that has become unsustainable for the administration “, adds the CGIL.
