Sustainability is not a question of cu*o, but also of heart, and this company proves it

Yet Sebach, born in 1987 in Certaldo, Tuscany, is showing that environmental and social responsibility is not a luxury for a few sectors but a road that can be traveled by anyone. It is not a question of cu*or reserved for a few, but a decision that arises from the “heart” (do you know the story of the inverted heart?) Of the company: from his vision and his values. A path that does not only speak of profit, but of planet, people and dignity.

The company’s mission has always been clear: to provide hygienic-health services where they are not available, recognizing them as a “fundamental human law”. From construction sites to major events, from emergencies to agricultural areas, the goal is to guarantee an essential service. But the real news is as This service is offered. Already in 2012, when attention to the environment and social responsibility were still a concept of niche, Sebach put a card of sustainability commitments black and white, followed in 2013 by the first environmental declaration of product (EPD), an international certification that measures the environmental impact of a product along its entire life cycle. A pioneering choice, which anticipated the current actions on business responsibility by a decade.

Even a mobile bathroom can be sustainable

But how does a mobile bathroom sustainable? The answer lies in the design and processes. An example? The company designs its products to be easily disassembled at the end of life, using homogeneous materials that maximize recovery and recycling. An approach that translates into concrete actions of circular economy: in 2024, 96.48 tons of polymers deriving from production waste were reused internally.

The most surprising innovation, however, concerns the most precious resource: water. If we consider that about a third of domestic water consumption is due to the junk, which uses up to 9 liters for use, the Sebach figure is revolutionary: its top San No Touch models consume just 0.1 liters of water for use – when it is said: even a bathroom can choose to do its part. Returning to the pioneering choices we were talking about just above, Sebach today has 7 products with EPD certification, testifying to the desire to expand the constant and transparent monitoring of the impacts.

However, the environmental commitment does not stop there. Sebach has developed a tool to measure CO₂ emissions related to rental for major events and, in collaboration with Azzeroco₂, the compensation by purchasing carbon credits. In 2024, 702 tons of co were compensated2EQ through the purchase of 702 carbon credits, a mechanism that may seem complex but which in practice contributes to supporting the creation of a hydroelectric and wind system in Turkey – projects that, in addition to generating clean energy, have created job opportunities for local communities.

People in the center: from welfare to gender equality

Sustainability, however, is not just an environmental question. It is an approach that, in order to be authentic, must put people at the center. And here too, the company’s choices speak clearly. In 2024 Sebach obtained the certification of UNI/PDR 125: 2022 gender equality and in 2025 it was recognized among the best workplaces For Women. The data confirm the commitment: zero accidents at work recorded in the three-year period 2022-2024 and an average of 19 hours of pro-beam training provided in 2024.

To this is added a personalized welfare plan, managed internally to meet the real needs of employees, which in 2024 has been enriched with a wellness package that includes Yoga, Pilates and Padel lessons. An attention that extends to the entire supply chain, with training courses dedicated also to over 70 dealers operating throughout the national territory, moving over 80,000 mobile bathrooms and 5,000 monoblocs every day.

A value that returns to the territory

Finally, the heart of this story beats in the link with the territory. Sebach actively invests in social and cultural initiatives, with a 27% increase in investments in favor of communities compared to 2022. Among the projects supported stands out “Tomorrow is now – the festival of sustainability and skills” in Certaldo (if you are in the area, falls in this month, from 26 to 28 September), an event that promotes the culture of inclusion and respect for the environment among the new generations. But the list is long and touches different areas: from the support for the solidarity emporium of Certaldo for the mitigation of food poverty and to the Ant Foundation for oncological prevention, up to supporting realities such as the meeting, which promotes the working inclusion of young people with disabilities, and to the fund for the Italian environment (FAI), of which Sebach is Corporate Golden Donor for over twenty years.

These actions are not random, but are part of a strategy that looks to the united nations sustainable development objectives (SDGS), with clear goals for 2030: from clean energy (SDG 7) to gender equality (SDG 5), from responsible consumption (SDG 12) to the reduction of inequalities (SDG 10).

A mobile bathroom will not change the world. But the choice of a company to integrate responsibility in every aspect of its work – from the environment to the care of people and the territory – traces a precise route. Sebach thus shows that sustainability is not a goal to exhibit, but a path made of consistency, vision and courage. A path that, beyond the financial statements, defines the authentic contribution of a company, confirming the principle that the guidance: “We are the choices we make.”
