Two identical notices, in which only a batch number and a date change. The Ministry of Health has published the recall of the Cedimar brand swordfish steak, sold in 170 gram packs, due to the presence of high levels of mercury. The measure concerns two separate batches of the same product, both with a deadline approaching.
The recalled product
The slice is produced and marketed by Cedimar Srl in the factory in via della Tecnica 17 in Elmas, on the outskirts of Cagliari, identified by the CE mark IT P776Q. The sales unit is a 170 gram tray, there are two lots involved. Lot 280926 has an expiry date of 7 October 2026:

Lot 300926 on October 9, 2026. Both notices are dated October 5.

The reason for the recall
The cause indicated is the same for the two batches: high mercury levels. The warnings do not report the values detected by the analyzes nor the threshold exceeded, and simply report the non-compliance.
What to do in case of purchase
The warnings are peremptory, therefore the product must be set aside and is considered inedible, therefore a package with one of the two lots indicated should not be consumed under any circumstances. The notices do not specify the return methods, so it is best to contact the point of sale where the purchase was made.
