The impressive number of grape varieties grown in the Italian regions can make it indeed difficult to decree excellence of the year, but the Bibenda 2025 guide comes to our aid by selecting the 10 best Italian wines.
Developed since 2014 by the Italian Sommelier Foundation (Fis) and now in its twenty-seventh edition, the guide highlights the best labels year after year. The criteria go beyond the evaluation methods used by Fis training. The result is a combination of unforgettable sensations, to be savored in the glass.
So, on a journey from north to south, let’s discover together the 10 best wines among those awarded by the Bibenda 2025 guide with the 5 bunches:
- Above quota 900 2022: from the berries of Petite Arvine, grapes grown at over 900 meters above sea level in the Aosta Valley, this tasty and mineral still white wine is born, created by the oenologist Luca D’Attoma for the Rosset Terroir company
- Franciacorta Brut Teatro Alla Scala 2020: we move to Lombardy, theater of Franciacorta, with the Bellavista company for bubbles that leave their mark. Wine management by Richard Geoffroy, famous Chef de Cave of Dom Pérignon
