A palace with a memory
Before becoming what it is today, Palazzo Fiuggi was already something. Built in 1913 in Art Nouveau style, immersed in an 8-hectare park, it hosted royalty, heads of state and film stars – including Vittorio Emanuele III – during the twentieth century. Then, as often happens with historic buildings, it entered a long phase of oblivion. The turning point came in 2021, with a reopening that did not simply restore the facades: it completely redesigned the vocation of the place, transforming it into one of the most advanced wellness clinics in the world.
Not a spa, but a clinic
The difference compared to any other resort with treatments and herbal teas lies in one concept: Evidence-Based Medicine. At Palazzo Fiuggi you don’t book a massage and sit by the pool. One of the most unusual elements of Palazzo Fiuggi is the signature in the kitchen: Heinz Beck, chef with three Michelin stars, collaborated directly with the medical team to build a food line that does not give up taste but responds to precise scientific criteria — reduction of inflammation, control of toxins, metabolic balance. The result is a cuisine that in another context you would call haute cuisine, but which here is an integral part of the therapeutic protocol.
