The new Civil Service announcement offers young people between 18 and 29 years of age the opportunity to apply by 15 October for one of the 2,098 places available throughout Italy by accessing Spid on the portal: https://domandaonline.serviziocivile.it/. For the first time, in addition to the environmental sector, the agricultural one is also introduced, thus expanding the possibilities of direct experience and active participation in one of the areas that has a strategic impact on the future of the country.
The novelty was born from two memoranda of understanding: one with the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety, the other with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests. The initiative is added to the national one ended last February, which had seen the participation of over 50,000 young people.
The environmental civil service is a unique opportunity for children to become protagonists of the ecological transition and the fight against climate change, contributing to the protection of natural heritage and the spread of a culture of sustainability.
A bridge towards the future
The announcement is not limited to the environment: it also involves the primary sector, with a focus on agriculture and made in Italy. Selected young people will be able to experience direct experience in activities ranging from promoting local products to the fight against food waste, passing through education to correct lifestyles.
Among the planned projects are assistance and support initiatives for fragile people, educational paths for children and teenagers and activities related to the circular economy. In this way, the civil service becomes not only a training experience, but also a springboard for those who want to build a career in the agricultural and environmental sectors.
