Hybrid systems: the intelligent evolution of the boiler
One of the most innovative solutions proposed are the hybrid devices that combine a heat pump with a condensing gas boiler, designed to balance the energy between the two systems in order to offer, for example, a solution to summer blackout problems, such as those that occur in Milan due to the load on air conditioners. But how do they work? As Lorubio explained to us, the software is the real strength of these systems, a real electronic “brain” that independently manages the functioning of the two generators with the aim of guaranteeing the requested comfort using the cheapest and efficient source at that precise moment.
In the short term, the system optimizes consumption and translates into an immediate saving on the bill. In the long term, savings become even more consistent, since the system protects the user from the volatility of energy prices,

This investment also not only reduces operating costs, but also increases the value of the property, an aspect perceived by 44% of Italians according to research.

The advantage for consumers is a very significant energy saving compared to a traditional electric model. These devices also act as real “thermal batteries”, with about 10 GW of equivalent power installed in Italy, which contributes to balance the electricity grid.
Solutions for each home: condominiums and single houses
And for those who live in a condominium? No problem: energy efficiency adapts to any living context. The condominium represents a specific context, with unique challenges and opportunities.
For those with autonomous heating, the replacement of the old generator with a latest generation condensing boiler already represents an important efficiency. Where possible, the installation of a compact individual compact device is the optimal choice,

For buildings with central heating, however, the most forward -looking and advantageous solution is the collective one. Replace the old thermal power plant with modern systems such as great power heat pumps or a cascade of hybrid systems allows you to start the investment and maximize efficiency for the entire building. Although it requires an agreement between the condominiums, this is the main road to obtain maximum energy saving and enhance the entire building in the long run.
