Desires On the waiting list? Let’s prepare them, because the Ragging stars of May They are not over: in a few days two waters of meteors will be pending, the Upsilon-Cygnidi On May 15, and less than 48 hours, in the night between 16 and 17 May, it will be the turn of Kappa-Aquaridi.
As the UAI explains, the Upsilon-Cygnidiactive around May 15th, have the radiant, or the point from which the meteors leave, in the constellation of the Swanfrom which they take the name, and will be above the horizon already shortly after the sunset, but higher during the night (on the map the Heaven of May 15, 2025 at about 23.00).
Less than 48 hours later, in the night between 16 and 17 May, the peak will instead Kappa-Aquaridigenerally associated with brilliant and rapid meteors from the aquarium region. In this case, however, their observation is more favorable at night, as the radiant is initially under the horizon (on the map the Heaven of May 17, 2025 at about 3.00).
Among other things the splendid Eta Aquaridithat we admired their maximum on 5 and 6 May, are still active until 21 of the month.
