Bavaria moves to Calabria to celebrate the most anticipated beer festival of the year. From 17 October to 2 November 2025, the municipality of Rende (Cosenza) will host the sixth edition of the Oktoberfest Calabria, the event that has won the record as the largest event dedicated to beer on the national territory.
The numbers tell a story of extraordinary growth. In five editions the event has recorded over 1.1 million total attendances, with an average of 200,000 visitors per year. 337,000 liters of German beer were poured and 429 sponsors including local, national companies and international brands collaborated. Data that certifies how Oktoberfest Calabria has gone from a simple party to a real cultural phenomenon capable of attracting enthusiasts from all over Italy.
A marquee that recreates Monaco
The beating heart of the event is a large tent structure designed to accommodate up to 5,000 people. The facility faithfully recreates the atmosphere of the original celebrations in Munich. The spaces are large and designed to guarantee comfort and safety: Bavarian-style tables and benches, strategically distributed tapping points, a stage for live music and settings with attention to the smallest details. Each element is designed to immerse visitors in a genuine experience, capable of transporting them directly to Germany.
The layout of the rooms allows you to experience the event with serenity even in the busiest moments. The clear signs, dedicated staff and simplified access make the Oktoberfest Calabria accessible to everyone: families, young people, adults and the simply curious.
Bavarian beer and traditional dishes
On the gastronomic front, the Oktoberfest Calabria respects the German tradition. The beer served is Märzen, a bottom-fermented variety produced by Paulaner, one of Munich’s historic breweries, also present with the classic formats. Märzen beer offers a superior taste compared to traditional varieties and was created especially for the event.
The menu offers the classics of Bavarian cuisine: pork shank, half a roast chicken, sausages and meats accompanied by potatoes, cheeses and Bretzel, the typical braided savory bread. The organization has also provided a menu dedicated to those with celiac needs, as well as various vegetarian alternatives, demonstrating a certain attention to everyone’s needs.
Live music and entertainment for all ages
Every evening the stage lights up with a rich and varied musical programme. The Top Show Band Alpen Vagabunden, a brass group specializing in Bavarian folk music, will be the permanent presence that will liven up the evenings. Traditional German songs alternate with rock and contemporary genres capable of making the audience dance and sing.
The artistic calendar of this sixth edition includes notable names from the Italian and international music scene. Among the protagonists of the evenings stand out 883 Tribute, Matthew Lee, Ricci di Mare, Discopatici and DJs Jad and Wlady of Articolo 31. Halloween night will see performances by Dune, Giorgio Prezioso and Albertino DJ.
Sundays have a special format: continuous opening from 12.00 to 22.00 with a more relaxed and family atmosphere. These days include entertainment for children by “Il Parco delle Meraviglie”, inflatable games and entertainment designed for the little ones. A different way of experiencing the party, with the same intensity but in a more relaxed dimension.
An organizational machine that works all year round
Behind the success of the Calabria Oktoberfest lies meticulous work that continues for twelve months. A consolidated team coordinates every aspect: from relationships with sponsors and suppliers to staging planning, from musical programming to the coordination of flows and security, up to the management of communication on social media.
