The Mineral path of Santa Barbara It is a historical, cultural and religious itinerary that winds for about 500 kilometers in the south-west of Sardiniainside the historical environmental geominerary park of Sardinia. This path, divided into 30 stagescrosses some of the oldest lands in Italy, offering pilgrims and hikers the opportunity to immerse themselves in breathtaking landscapes between sea, mountains and ancient mines.
The journey takes its name from Santa Barbara, patroness of the miners, and along the way you meet numerous churches dedicated to her, testimony to the profound local devotion. The track follows the Ancient mineral paths used over the millennia, allowing travelers to retrace the footsteps of those who contributed to the rich mining history of the region.
The stages of the path vary for difficulty and landscapeoffering a wide range of experiences. For example, the first stage leads from Iglesias to Nebida, crossing areas of medium difficulty, while other stages, such as that from Masua to Buggerru, are considered more demanding.
In addition to the walking route, there is also one cycle variant of the path, which extends for about 550 kilometers divided into 9 stages. This option offers cyclists the opportunity to explore the region on two wheels, crossing the same fascinating and history landscapes.

Participants can choose between 12 itineraries Different, divided into routes of one, two or three nights. To access free overnight stays, it is necessary:

- Buy the Credential of the Way at a cost of 5 €
- Make a small voluntary donation
- Book in the affiliated structuresreceiving up to three free vouchers for overnight stays.
