Stop ai desires of August? No, the peak of the shooting stars Kappa Cignidi. The swarm will be pending on August 18 (keeping active until 25 of the month), at the moment, among other things, in which the notorious Perseids are still here. We don’t miss!
As the UAI explains, after the passage of Perseidwe must not put away the deck chairs and the binoculars, because the August sky continues to offer opportunities, in particular thanks to the swarm of the Kappa-Cygnidiactive between 18 and 25 August, with a Massimo around 18 August.
This swarm has a rather modest frequency in reality, but it is known to produce Lente meteors and occasional spectacular choliesoften surprising for those who observe constantly. And among other things, the Perseids will be active at least until August 24, so it is not excluded that you can still see some meteors of this famous swarm (on the map the Heaven of 18 August 2025 at about 23.00).
We then point our eyes to the Cigno constellationwhere the radiant resides, the point from which it seems that the meteors leave (but also towards Perseus). Among other things, the moon will have abundantly exceeded the phase of full scheduled on day 9.
