Unfortunately, there were five victims of the tragedy yesterday 1st November in Alto Adige, when an avalanche broke out in the area ofOrtlesnear Cima Vertanaoverwhelming them.
Two groups of German ski mountaineers were involved, the first made up of three people, unfortunately deceased, the second of four, of which two survived while the other two, unfortunately, found lifeless this morning 2 November.
Ortles is the peak of the southern Rhaetian Alps which with its 3905 meters represents the highest peak in Trentino-Alto Adige, and is the scene, once again like three years ago, of a terrible tragedy.
As the local portals write, the adverse weather conditions have made everything more complicated as the helicopters, in these conditions, can leave the rescuers up to 2600 meters and the personnel must then continue on foot.
The accident on the Ortles occurred at around 3200 meters above sea level, which requires a journey of around two hours starting from 2600.
