Airbnb today is not just a site where you can book accommodation: it is a journey into Italy that lives in the villages, in the scents of cooking and in the small gestures that make guests feel at home. Italian hosts do not simply offer a place to sleep, but a welcome that speaks of humanity, tradition and warmth.
According to the platform’s data, the average Italian host is 48 years old and hosts for around 26 nights a year, earning on average 4,000 euros. For over 70% it is not a job, but a passion. It’s the pleasure of opening your home door and sharing your story. It is not surprising that Italy is among the countries with the most Superhosts in the world – over 68,000 – and more than 150,000 accommodations “loved by guests”.
To recognize this unique spirit, Airbnb launched the first edition of the “Masters of Made in Italy Hospitality” award, choosing six hosts who best represent the soul of Italian hospitality, from North to South. Ordinary people who have transformed their homes into unforgettable experiences.
Here are the best Airbnbs in Italy of 2025.
Daniela – Best quality-price accommodation (Marino, Lazio)
Daniela, 51 years old, gave new life to an unused apartment by transforming it into a welcoming refuge with attention to every detail. “It’s one of the best choices of my life,” he says. For her, welcoming means empathy, listening and human warmth.
Elisabetta – Best accommodation for families (Lake Como, Lombardy)

After a career in marketing, Elisabetta created a home designed for families and children. Carefully chosen games, books in multiple languages and a peaceful atmosphere. “Happy guests, happy host,” he sums up.
Graziano – Exceptional hospitality (Cisternino, Puglia)

Lawyer from Bologna, he brought his grandparents’ house in Valle d’Itria back to life. Together with their parents, they welcome each guest as a friend, offering walks in the village and stories of the area. “Those who come here feel at home and often return,” he says proudly.
Martina – Best accommodation for Milan-Cortina 2026 (Moena, Trentino-Alto Adige)

He lives in Puglia, but manages the family home in Moena remotely. “We understood that it was nice to share it,” he says. The apartment will also host the family of a Canadian athlete during the 2026 Olympics.
Matteo – Extraordinary experience (Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany)

A 33-year-old ceramist, he has transformed the family workshop into an Experience where he teaches the art of ceramics using wheels and colours. “Whoever enters my shop becomes an ambassador for Montelupo,” he explains.
Roberto – Best rural accommodation (Scopello, Sicily)

Roberto made his father’s dream come true by renovating an ancient ruin immersed in Sicilian nature. “It’s not just a house to rent, it’s a place to talk about,” he says. Its hospitality is simple and sincere, like the land that surrounds it.
With these six awards, Airbnb rewards not only those who offer a bed or a room, but those who transform a stay into a memory. Because in Italy hospitality is not a service: it is an art form.
