According to the official data published by URAE, the Fiat Panda is confirmed as the best -selling hybrid in Italy in the first five months of 2025. With 54.793 Registered units, the small small car of the Turin brand has recorded an increase of over 3,000 cars compared to the same period of 2024. It is a result that further consolidates the dominant position of the Panda in the Italian market, in particular in the segment Mild Hybrid.
Because the panda continues to win
Panda’s success is not a surprise. For years he has been the best -selling car in Italy ever, but the arrival of the Mild Hybrid engine has given her new life, allowing her to remain competitive in a market that is electrifying more and more. The reason is simple: low price, reduced maintenance and maximum practicality for urban use. To this is added an image that, despite everything, still works: it is the “home”, familiar and reassuring machine, with recognizable lines and a capillary assistance network across the country.
The hybrid version of the Panda, introduced for the first time in 2020, mounts a 1.0 -liter Mild Hybrid Mild Hybrid system, which does not revolutionize performance but improves consumption and emissions. The electrification is minimal, but enough to obtain the tax benefits expected for light hybrids and to make a break among motorists who want to spend little but feel “in step with the times”.
The first positions in the general classification (January-May 2025)
Behind the Panda, in the overall ranking of the best -selling hybrid cars in our country, we find two models of the Toyota brand:
In May 2025, Yaris Cross sold 3,401 units, while Yaris stopped at 3.001. Solid numbers, especially for the Japanese brand that has been synonymous with reliable full hybrid technology for years. But neither models manage to approach even remotely to the volume of sales of the Panda.
Follow Ford Puma, Fiat 600, Jeep Avenger and other compact SUVs That play the style card and equipment, but still remain under 3,000 specimens sold monthly. A clear signal: the Italian market still rewards the practical, economic and well -known small car. In this, the Panda is unbeatable.
