Kirsty Elson is the British artist who transforms beached wood into wonderful works of art by collecting it on the seashore. For Kirsty, every single piece of wood hides enormous creative potential which, with her incredible talent, she manages to bring out as if by magic.
Birds, owls, chameleons, cats, dogs, crabs, in his universe there is room for any animal. The fact that they come to life from what is normally considered useless debris makes his art even more fascinating.
In the latest post published a few days ago on her Instagram profile, Kirsty explains that she hadn’t found much on the beach, apart from an old piece of pine. After cutting him into pieces and burning three of them, he transformed him into a wonderful otter.
