Among the most delicious and talked about novelties of Christmas 2025 there are undoubtedly the chocolate panettone from Dubai which follows the success of the bar, with a slightly exotic taste, which has been very popular on social media in the last year and has already been tasted by many.
One of these products has now ended up at the center of a food alert, which reminds us how important it is to pay attention to labeling and allergens, even during the holidays.
The panettone recalled
Carrefour and subsequently the Ministry of Health announced the recall of two batches of the DeMilan Dubai Chocolate Style stuffed panettone branded Lazzaroni, packaged by Paolo Lazzaroni & Figli SpA in Saronno (VA).
The lots affected, with a minimum shelf life set for 30 April 2026, are:
The recalled product has a format of 800 grams and is mainly sold in Carrefour stores, where the lots subject to the alert have already been withdrawn from the shelves.
The reason for the recall
The recall decision arises from an irregularity found in the packaging: some of them lack the indication of the ingredients and allergens in Italian, a fundamental requirement to guarantee consumer safety. The absence of this information can in fact represent a risk for those suffering from food allergies or intolerances.
DeMilan Dubai Chocolate Style panettone contains wheat, pistachio, milk, soy and egg, with the possible presence of other nuts and mustard. Anyone who is allergic to these ingredients is invited not to consume the product and return it to the point of sale; for all other consumers, panettone remains safe.
