The official recognition of Guinness World Records
To obtain the title, the municipality of Nagaizumi had to demonstrate that the small space respected the official guidelines to be considered a park. To this end, a professional surveyor which has precisely measured the area and verified that the place would respond to criteria requested: that is, to be a green space dedicated to the community, where people can stop and relax, even if only for a few moments.
After the checks, the Guinness World Records certified the Nagaizumi park Like the smallest in the world, overcoming the Mill Ends Park and establishing a new record. Today this small park has become a Point of interest for tourists and enthusiasts curious records. Many visitors are looking for him to take photos and share them on social media.
Shuji Koyama, head of the urban management of Nagaizumi, said the city will continue to preserve this spacekeeping it cared for and promoting it as one of the most particular attractions in the region.
