This Mexican park, designed according to the principles of organic architecture, seems to have come out of a dream!

To the north-west of Mexico City, in the hills of Naucalpan de Juárez, there is one of the most visionary and poetic places ever conceived by man: it is the Parque quetzalcóatl, Ecological and architectural park (in becoming) that seems to have come out of a dream, conceived and made by the Mexican architect Javier Senosiain.

Inspired by the forms of the natural world, but also by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, Antoni Gaudí and even from the Aztec cosmology, Senosiain has shaped an entire landscape that challenges every categorization. Nature is not only the background, but becomes a structure, matter and inspiration. Each construction is camouflaged with the earth, confuses with plants, winds like an animal in motion.

One of the most famous examples of this approach is The Orgánica housea residence in which light enters through strategic openings and each room flows into the other as in one breath.

Another example is “El Nido de Quetzalcóatl”an imposing serpentiform construction more than 5,000 square meters long, built between 1998 and 2007. This housing structure is inspired by the Aztec divinity Quetzalcóatl, the feathered snakeand includes a series of apartments where you can stay via Airbnb.

There are then The satellite housessmall underground worlds covered with grass, each with its own colored microcosm. But there are also a botanical vegetable garden, greenhouses, a garden of medicinal plants, a grassy amphitheater and many other spaces that allow the visitor to live a sensory experience in close contact with Mother Nature.

To date, the park is not yet completely open to the public, but his images and his fame have gone around the world. This place, rather than a simple architectural project, is a sensory and symbolic experience: A journey into the womb of the world, where to live is not separating from nature, but becoming part of his breath.
