This mini caravan costs only 4,300 euros, but has all the comforts: kitchen, shower and double bed in just 2.5 meters

Two and a half meters long, 450 kilos empty and, inside, kitchen, bathroom with shower, 100 liters of water and a dinette that becomes a double bed at night. The Minika 250 is the smallest of the caravans produced by the Turkish Güney Karavan and manages to fit a lot of things into a space where, normally, we would already start discussing who should move the legs.

The price also attracts attention. On the Güney Karavan website the Minika 250 is currently offered at 239,000 Turkish lira: just over 4,300 euros. An unusually low figure for a complete caravan, with an important note: it is the price indicated in Türkiye. An Italian sales network does not currently appear on the manufacturer’s website.

What really fits in 2.5 meters

The technical data sheet of the Minika 250 indicates almost cubic measurements: 250 centimeters long, 200 wide and 200 high. The declared capacity is for two people.

Underneath is an AL-KO torsion-braked axle; the structure uses metal profiles, external cladding in aluminum and fiberglass composite, while the furniture is made of laminated poplar plywood. The manufacturer also declares a type O1 approval, the category which according to European legislation includes trailers with a maximum mass not exceeding 750 kilos. The empty weight of 450 kilos therefore gives a clear idea of the philosophy of the project: reduce everything except the useful functions.

At the front there is a kitchen with sink, built-in stove, cupboards and 90-litre fridge. Next door is the bathroom, with cabinet, portable toilet and shower. The shower head can also be used outdoors and among the options there is a small dedicated tent, useful when wild camping suddenly meets the concept of modesty.

Under the seats there is also a 100 liter tank with 12 volt pump. Not very little, considering that the entire caravan measures just half a meter more than a normal double bed.

The bed appears only when needed

In the rear there are two seats and the dining area table. When evening comes, the dinette transforms into a bed for two people. It is a fairly common solution in caravans; Here the space in which it has been compressed is especially surprising.

The most recognizable feature, however, is the large rear opening that Güney Karavan calls the “balcony”. No terrace protrudes from the bodywork: practically the entire upper wall is raised, leaving the dinette facing outwards. There are also mosquito nets and curtains, a decidedly less romantic detail than the view but probably more useful after sunset.

In the presentation video published by the manufacturer, both the rear opening and the internal distribution can be clearly seen. The Minika was launched in 2024 at 150,000 Turkish Lira; the price list has risen significantly since then, but the devaluation of the Turkish currency keeps the price converted into euros at very low levels.

Solar, heating and air conditioning are extra

The basic equipment is already quite complete, while to transform the Minika into a more autonomous small caravan you have to start ticking off options.

The manufacturer offers a photovoltaic system composed of two 205 W monocrystalline panels, therefore 410 W in total, two 100 Ah gel batteries and inverter with MPPT regulator. You can also add 5 kW diesel heating, 11 liter boiler, air conditioning, veranda, cassette toilet and 12 volt fridge.

Here the price of around 4,300 euros must therefore be read with a minimum of attention: accessories, transport and above all the possible purchase from Italy can distance the final bill quite a lot from the figure seen on the Turkish price list.

There remain 2.5 meters of caravan in which Güney managed to fit a bed for two, a real kitchen, a bathroom and even 100 liters of water. The model, however, still looks to Türkiye. For an Italian buyer, the most complicated journey could be precisely the one necessary to bring it home.
