The Italian capital prepares again to live one of its most fascinating nights. On May 17, Rome will light up with the fifteenth edition of the “Night of the Museums”, the event that transforms the cultural spaces of the city into vibrant stages of art and entertainment.
This initiative, which takes place simultaneously with the “Nuit Européenne des Musées”, will offer Romans and tourists a unique opportunity: visit the artistic treasures of the city at an unusual time, from 20:00 until 2:00 in the morning, with the last entrance to 1: 00. The entrance ticket, with a symbolic cost of one euro, will allow access to both permanent collections and temporary exhibitions.
The event will involve about twenty museum seats scattered throughout the city. The majestic Capitoline museums, the elegant Museum of the Ara Pacis and the historic museum of Rome at Palazzo Braschi will open their doors. There will be the Napoleonic Museum and Trajan’s markets.
