Tulip fields in Italy 2026: the most beautiful places to admire the spring blooms

Spring in Italy has its own way of getting noticed. It arrives slowly, with the days getting longer, the air milder and the first colors returning to occupy the landscapes. The meadows are filled with spontaneous flowers, the trees are covered with new leaves and, in some areas of the country, nature offers real chromatic shows that seem to have come out of a postcard.

Among the most surprising are the tulip fields. Orderly expanses or flowery meadows where thousands of colored corollas – red, yellow, pink, purple and orange – transform the landscape into a lively mosaic that celebrates the arrival of the beautiful season. In recent years these places have also become a different way of experiencing spring: walking among the rows, picking flowers and slowing down for a few hours in contact with nature.

From the countryside to the city gates to agricultural parks, Italy also has its corners of “Dutch spring”. In this article we are going to discover some of the most beautiful tulip fields in the country, starting from Nonno Andrea, where every year the bloom attracts visitors, families and photography enthusiasts.

Tulip field Grandfather Andrea – Villorba (Treviso)

Five hundred thousand bulbs of two hundred different varieties. We are not talking about a nursery but an orchard, transformed for a few weeks into something difficult to describe without slipping into rhetoric. Yet just look at the photos from previous years to understand why people flock from all over Italy.

From Thursday 19 March 2026, the Nonno Andrea di Villorba agricultural company, in via Campagnola 72/b, opens its Tulip Fields for about a month. The flowers grow between the rows of orchards, in that agricultural space north of Treviso which for most of the year is dedicated to vegetable gardens and orchards and which in summer is filled with fields of sunflowers. In spring, however, it transforms into a large carpet of tulips. Flowering, which by nature cannot be controlled, should last until mid-April – barring adverse weather conditions, for which the company constantly updates its social channels and website. In previous years, the public response was such as to make the event one of the most popular spring events in the province: queues on weekends, families arriving even from outside the region, tulips sold out before the scheduled closing.

Self-harvesting: you take everything, including the bulb

The format is that of direct self-collection, so no pre-packaged trolleys, much less ready-made bouquets. Visitors receive a small shovel at the entrance (with a deposit of five euros, returned upon exit), walk between the rows and choose their flowers one by one. It is harvested with the whole bulb — which means that the same tulip, planted in autumn, can bloom again the following year.

The cost? Three tulips for five euros as the minimum threshold for access to the fields, one euro for each additional flower. Children under one meter tall enter without a minimum purchase; people with disabilities also have access without a threshold and with a twenty percent discount on flowers purchased. Parking is free, dogs are allowed on a leash.
The self-collection is open seven days a week, including Sundays, from 9:00 to 19:30, without reservations. You go directly to the farm.

Nonno Andrea’s weekend calendar

In addition to the daily collection, Nonno Andrea has structured a program of activities for the weekends. From March 21st onwards, every Saturday and Sunday, the walk among the flowers will be accompanied by the Flower Radio – a live radio in the fields – and creative educational workshops. The Giant Kite Flight is also scheduled for March 28th and 29th and will return on April 4th and Easter Monday.

On April 4th and April 6th (Easter Monday) there will also be a Slackline: the ribbon stretched between two points on which you walk, testing your balance, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00. On April 5th, Easter day, the farm will be closed.

The weekends of 11-12 and 18-19 April will accompany the conclusion of the tulip flowering with self-harvesting, workshops and Flower Radio, without additional activities. Every day, during the flowering period, the Food Oasis is open among the orchards for those who want to stop and eat something outdoors.

The Villorba farm was not born with tulips, it is an agricultural company with agritourism and farm shop, active all year round, which cultivates and processes raw materials of its own production. The Pumpkin Village, created in autumn, is the other best-known seasonal event. The tulip fields fit into this logic of experiences linked to the agricultural rhythm – not as an independent attraction, but as part of an offer that seeks to bring people into direct contact with the cycles of the earth.

Tuliprendi – Mapello (Bergamo)

In Mapello, in the province of Bergamo, Mara and Paolo have recovered almost three hectares of abandoned vineyards, transforming them into a flower farm in the middle of the woods. Their tulip field is cultivated with regenerative and organic farming techniques, following the principles of sustainability.

The camp opens on 19 March 2026, on the occasion of Father’s Day, and remains accessible every day except Mondays, from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 7pm on weekdays, 9am to 7pm on weekends. Self-harvesting works as always: the tulips are chosen directly from the rows.

The Tuliprendi project combines the cultivation of flowers with viticulture: the same vineyards recovered from abandonment produce organic grapes vinified in the company cellar. During the year the farm also offers activities related to art, dance, well-being and nature, transforming the field into a space where agriculture and land regeneration are intertwined.

Sigurtà Garden Park – Tulipanomania 2026 – Valeggio sul Mincio (Verona)

Sigurtà Park

Tulipanomania returns to Parco Giardino Sigurtà, the great spring festival which from mid-March to early May brings over a million tulips into bloom, together with daffodils, hyacinths and alliums. Considered the most important tulip bloom in Italy, the 2026 edition also introduces an expanded show garden of 4,000 m2 with around 200 varieties, new flowerbeds inspired by abstract art and scenographic installations along the paths of the park, among woods, avenues and lakes. The festival combines floral shows, botanical research and cultural initiatives dedicated to the public and schools.

Botanical Gardens of Villa Taranto – Verbania (Lake Maggiore)

In the Botanical Gardens of Villa Taranto, overlooking Lake Maggiore, spring brings one of the most evocative floral displays in Italy. From 22 March to 20 April an expanse of tulips colors the park together with other spring bulbous plants, creating geometries of flowerbeds and paths among the flowers. Among the most scenic attractions, the Tulip Labyrinth stands out, a path of around 400 meters surrounded by over 20,000 bulbs of different varieties, which transforms the visit into a total immersion in the colors and scents of the season.

Messer Tulipano returns to the historic park of Pralormo Castle, the botanical event that every spring transforms the gardens of the residence into a large expanse of flowers. From 28 March to 26 April 2026, the XXVI edition offers thousands of tulips and daffodils among the lawns and flowerbeds of the nineteenth-century park, with thematic itineraries and displays that celebrate one of the symbolic flowers of the season.

The Gardens of Castel Trauttmansdorff extend over approximately 12 hectares and are home to botanical landscapes that combine Mediterranean and exotic plants with the Alpine panoramas surrounding Merano. Between sensory stations, artistic installations, thematic pavilions and spaces also dedicated to children, the park, which reopens on April 1st, offers a journey between nature and dissemination. Among the most awaited blooms is that of the tulips, which also marks the beginning of the season: the first buds appear between the end of March and the beginning of April and color the gardens until May with numerous varieties and shades.

In the small village of Turri, in the heart of Marmilla, the Beranu Froriu Park is one of the most surprising places in Southern Italy to see tulips in spring. The garden extends for approximately 7 hectares and is home to over 500,000 tulips belonging to approximately 70 varieties, together with more than 450 species of flowers including daffodils, peonies, hyacinths, irises and ranunculus. The park, included in the circuit of the Great Italian Gardens, offers paths between flower beds and panoramic areas that allow you to walk among the colors of spring blooms, in a rural landscape typical of Sardinia. You can admire the tulips blooming until April 12th
