The Department of Civil Protection is following the serious fire that affects the Vesuvius National Park – reads a press release of the same Civil Protection – to counter the flames and guarantee maximum possible air coverage to the shutdown activities, they are operating on the vast rago as well as 6 Canadair of the National Fire Failure fleet, coming from different regions and to work from the first light of dawn. Together with the State Fleet, the air vehicles of the regional fleet are also operating on the fire. A team of the department is reaching the Coordination Center of Terzigno to support the local authorities in the shutdown action
The causes are not yet known, but concern is great, both for air pollution and for the consequences on the park, the headquarters of biodiversity to be preserved, between the sea, the mountain, the volcano, the variety of places, the splendid naturalistic views, combined with the species of plants, animals and minerals that populate the area.
