What’s this about bonuses for singles? Here are the benefits you can really request

We often talk about “bonuses for singles”, but the truth is that there is no single measure dedicated exclusively to those who live alone. Rather, it is a series of benefits and economic support that are also accessible to single-member families. From bills to psychologist bonuses, to company benefits and discounts on mortgages or rent, there are many opportunities available for those who have to manage all their expenses without being able to count on a second income.

Social bonuses for electricity, gas and water

One of the main supports is represented by social bonuses for domestic users, aimed at those with an ISEE of up to 9,530 euros (20,000 euros for families with four or more children). The contribution is applied directly to the bill, without the need to apply.

For 2025, an extra aid of 200 euros is also planned for those with an ISEE of less than 25,000 euros, a measure designed to lighten the impact of high energy costs also on singles.

Fringe benefits and corporate welfare

Another help comes from the world of corporate welfare, with fringe benefits. For those who live alone, the limit of goods and services exempt from taxation is set at 1,000 euros per year, while it rises to 2,000 euros for workers with children.

The benefits also include the payment or reimbursement of bills, rent costs and interest on the mortgage of the first home, concrete support for those who have to cope with all household expenses independently.

Concessions for rent and mortgage

Those who move for work can take advantage of the rent bonus for new hires, up to 5,000 euros per year in the first two years of hiring, as long as the new job is located at least 100 kilometers from the previous residence.

For those aiming to purchase, the first home mortgage bonus guarantees tax breaks and a state guarantee of up to 80% of the loan for those under 36 with ISEE under 40,000 euros.

Inclusion allowance and psychologist bonus

The Inclusion Allowance (Adi) has taken the place of the Citizenship Income and is also available to singles with ISEE less than 10,140 euros and assets under 6,000 euros. It is an aid designed for those who live in conditions of economic difficulty and are committed to a training or re-employment process.

Another highly requested support is the psychologist bonus, which provides a contribution of up to 1,500 euros for those with a low ISEE, with a maximum reimbursement of 50 euros per session for psychotherapy costs.

Home bonus, renovations and Tari

Even those who live alone can access the renovation bonus, with a 50% deduction for work on their first home (36% on other homes), extended until 2026.

Finally, the Tari bonus offers a 25% discount on the waste tax for those with an ISEE under 9,530 euros, applied automatically without the need for an application.
