Dream Cilento: Castellabate, Agropoli and Casal Velino among the beaches with the cleanest sea of Campania

Crystal clear sea, protected ecosystems and uncontaminated landscapes: the Cilento One of the most virtuous bathing destinations in Italy is confirmed. They certify the data released by the ARPAC – Regional Agency for the Environmental Protection of Campania – which recently completed a new series of monitoring on Bagne bathing waters. The results? Castellabate, Agropolis And Casal Velino promoted with full votes.

The analyzes conducted on Monday 28 April in the Sa5 points (Castellabate), SA6 (Montecorice – Casal Velino) and along the Coast of Agropoli have highlighted microbiological parameters perfectly compliant with the legislation. The three Cilentane locations have been so classified as bathing and excellent qualitythe highest category foreseen by the European classification system.

These results are part of the seasonal checks launched by the ARPAC starting from April 7, involving 328 bathing waters distributed throughout the Campania coast. A capillary operation that wants to guarantee the safety of swimmers and constantly monitor the health of the marine environment, increasingly exposed to anthropic pressures and climate change.

The good news for Cilento comes while some areas of Campania still remain under observation. This is the case of Castel Volturno (Ce3), where official feedback, and Capri are expected, where the withdrawals made between April 28 and May 2 are still being analyzed. TO Capri -Anacapri (Na9), as well as a Sant’Agnello And Castellammare di Stabia (“Villa Comunale” area), the ARPAC technicians have concluded the latest pre-stugial missions. The final data is expected in the next few days.

Meanwhile, the ban on bathing for about ten coastal sections remains, where previous analyzes have highlighted critical issues in the levels of microbiological pollutants. To these are added the port areas, excluded by law from the bathing areas.

Cilento, however, makes school. The excellent condition of its waters testifies not only a favorable natural conformation, but also careful management of the territory. The local administrations, supported by the growing sensitivity of the communities, showed themselves engaged in protecting the coasts and promoting attentive tourism to the environment. A model of sustainability that is reflected in numbers: every year, thousands of visitors choose the Cilentane beaches for their purity and tranquility.

This environmental excellence today becomes a strategic value, also in light of the climatic challenges that affect the Mediterranean. Protecting the quality of the waters means not only guaranteeing safe seaside experiences, but also defend marine biodiversity and the identity of unique territories such as the Cilento area.
