In 2025 there is an important novelty for working moms: the government has approved a new 480 euro bonusdesigned to support women with at least two dependent children. The provision is included in the Omnibus decree approved on June 20 by the Council of Ministers and provides for a significant change compared to the past: no longer exemption, but a direct and one -off by an INPS.
The contribution will be recognized to workers mothers of at least two childrenprovided that the income from work does not exceed 40 thousand euros per year. The bonus it is equal to 40 euros for each worked month during 2025, up to a maximum of 480 euros overalland will be paid in a single solution within the month of December. The sum will be free from taxes and contributionstherefore resulting totally clear.
Among the required requirements, the beneficiaries must be as mentioned mothers of two childrenuntil the completion of the tenth year of age of the youngest son. For mothers with Three or more childrenthe law extends to eighteenth year of the younger son, but only for the months in which. In any case, they are Domestic workers excluded from the benefit.
In 2026 a new bonus arrives
Another novelty concerns the request mode: The worker himself will have to submit an application to INPSwithout the involvement of the employer. At the moment, you are still waiting for the implementation decree which will define operating times and methods, by the Ministry of Labor and of the Ministry of Economy.
The overall financing of the measure amounts to 480 million eurosof which 180 million additional allocated with the new decree, in addition to 300 million already expected in the budget law. The contribution covers both the direct disbursement and the failure to reappear from the contribution exemption.
Looking to the future, from 2026 The bonus will be replaced by a New contribution exemption aimed at mothers with at least two children, both employees that autonomous (excluding flat -rate), with income within 40 thousand euros. This measure will also exclude the domestic sector and have a Maximum expenditure roof of 300 million.
