Suspected botulinum: these pitches of friarielli to the Neapolitan in oil recalled

While investigations continue on cases of botulinum poisoning related to the consumption of sandwiches with turnip tops and sausage in Calabria, the Ministry of Health has reported the call by the operators of some food products for suspected contamination.

These are two brands of friarielli in oil from Neapolitan, produced in factories in the province of Salerno, which may have developed the botulinum toxin that can lead to muscle paralysis and death.

The lots called

The calls in question concern four lots, with labels beautiful flavor (manufacturer AMIRA Stefano) and Vittoria (Manufacturer AMARA STEFANO). Specifically, it is the following packs of a kilo:

The warning of the Ministry is to “collect the products possibly in stock”. But if you have purchased these products, carefully check the lots: do not consume them and bring them back to the store.
