All eyes to heaven for the passage of chi-cygnidiswarm of falling stars typical of September: on 14 and 15 September, in the middle of the night, the meteors will be pending, giving us the possibility – time permitting – to express many desires. We don’t miss!
As the UAI explains, the chi-cygnidi I am slow and bright meteors which reach values of 5–10 ZHR around the 14–15 September. Despite the concomitance with the moon in the third quarter, some spectacular trails may be noticed in the deepest hours of the night (on the map the Heaven of September 15, 2025 at about 0.30).
The radiant, or the point from which it seems that the swarm originates, is found in Cigno constellation From which the meteors take their name, and it is therefore there that we must concentrate the gaze, on the horizon to the north-west.
