The rocker violinist who sings the Earth: “The 5 Elements” by Alessandro Quarta is an ode to balance (yours and the Planet’s)

There is music that we listen to and music that we hear, which vibrates in harmony with our deepest feelings, the one linked to our soul and ecological conscience. This is the case of “I 5 Elementi”, the acclaimed instrumental album by violinist and composer Alessandro Quarta – hailed by CNN as a “Musical Genius” – which returns in a remastered version (available on digital, SACD and vinyl) as an urgent sonic appeal.

Quarta does not use his precious Giovan Battista Guadagnini violin from 1761 only for virtuosity; it transforms it into a sounding board for the breathing of the Earth. This is not just a collection of songs, it is a real filmographic work that invites us on an introspective journey, where human destiny is inextricably intertwined with that of the natural world.

The 5 pillars of life: between power and fragility

The artist, moving between enveloping melodies, poignant melancholy and incisive rock rhythms, highlights both the generative power and the destructive force that dwell in each element:

If “Earth” and “Water” speak to us directly about fundamental resources, and “Air” and “Fire” about vital and transformative energies, the final element, “Ether”elevates the message. Ether, or Space, is the connector, the element that in some traditions is the matrix. In his music, Quarta seems to suggest that, beyond the physical, harmony and sustainability also require a deep awareness and a return to our emotional and natural roots.

As Quarta himself states, this music is a “reflection and an assumption of responsibility from which we cannot escape: a call for each and every one to truly feel part of a world to take care of.”

Quarta defines himself as a “rocker with the violin”, underlining how his music, although drawing on classical music, possesses the power and primordial energy of rock – an intense force, just like that released by the elements. An exceptional ensemble that makes Quarta’s performance even more powerful and multifaceted, uniting different artistic worlds to speak to a wide audience.

The concert on November 10th in Bari, at the Petruzzelli Theatre, promises to be an event of particular resonance. The performance will be enriched by the extraordinary participation of the singer-songwriter Ermal Meta, who during the first part of the show will perform some of his best-known songs, rearranged by Maestro Quarta.
