Green light to the bonus of 500 euros per month for under 35s: requirements and how to request the benefit for young entrepreneurs

The bonus for young people under 35 has officially started, aimed at those who decide to start a new entrepreneurial activity in Italy. Unemployed people who have not yet turned 35 at the time of starting the business can request it. The incentive is designed to support initial costs and encourage innovation in strategic sectors, from manufacturing to IT, from professional services to healthcare, up to culture and construction.

The company must have been opened between 1 July 2024 and 31 December 2025, while for companies the contribution can only be requested by a member who meets the requirements. There are no income or ISEE limits: age, unemployment status and sector of activity matter.

The contribution is part of the National Program for Youth, Women and Work and has a total allocation of 63 million euros until 2028. The resources are divided between regions and the INPS may suspend the acceptance of applications if the funds are close to running out.

Amount, duration and payment method

The bonus consists of 500 euros per month, paid annually in advance, for a maximum of three years and in any case no later than 31 December 2028. In practice, whoever receives the contribution will receive 6 thousand euros at the beginning of each year of enjoyment of the benefit. The amount is tax-free, so it can be spent freely to cover expenses related to starting the business. The business must remain active for the entire duration of the bonus and the receiving member must remain in the corporate structure. Every year it will also be necessary to certify that the expenses incurred are consistent with the initial business plan.

How to submit the application

Applications must be sent to INPS within 30 days of opening the business via the Single Communication to the Business Registry. For activities started before 28 November 2025, the deadline starts from the publication of the circular that made the procedure operational. The application must be submitted online on the INPS portal by accessing with SPID, CIE or CNS through the “Access point to non-pension benefits”. Those who do not have a digital identity can contact a charity or the INPS Contact Center.
