Tonight on Rai1 “Roberta Valente – Notary in Sorrento” debuts: the plot of the new fiction (between legal mysteries and family secrets)

This evening, Sunday 12 April, the new drama arrives in prime time at 9.30pm on Rai 1 Roberta Valente – Notary in Sorrentoa four-night series that combines personal drama, legal cases and evocative coastal atmospheres. At the center of the events freely invented and not inspired by a true story is Roberta Valente, the youngest notary in Italy, brilliant and methodical who, after winning the notary competition, decides to move to Sorrento, her hometown.

A choice that seems to represent the perfect culmination of her career and her private life, especially as she organizes her wedding with her longtime partner. But the return home turns out to be anything but linear. The protagonist, accustomed to absolute control, suddenly finds herself immersed in a reality made up of family secrets, unresolved tensions and unpredictable dynamics. Every certainty built over the years begins to falter, transforming the move into an unexpected emotional journey.

Between notarial deeds and stories that hide mysteries

The series builds its identity on an original idea: notary work becomes the driving force of the narrative. Wills, inheritances, sales and transfers of ownership are transformed into human enigmas, behind which conflicts, hidden interests and uncomfortable truths emerge. Roberta does not investigate like a detective, but enters people’s lives through documents and formal decisions that reveal much more than meets the eye.

At the same time, his romantic relationship is going through a delicate phase. The discoveries linked to the past and the new professional responsibilities put the relationship with Stefano to the test, opening cracks that will force both to reconsider the future. The private dimension is thus intertwined with the work dimension, creating a continuous narrative tension.

The cast of “Roberta Valente”

Roberta is played by Maria Vera Ratti (already appreciated in series such as The Bastards of Pizzofalcone And Commissioner Ricciardi) alongside Alessio Lapice (a welcome return for the public who knew him in the role of Marshal Calogiuri in Imma Tataranni) who impersonates his partner Stefano.

The cast also includes Flavia Gatti, Erasmo Genzini and Sebastiano Somma, who contribute to building a choral tale. The direction is by Vincenzo Pirozzi, while the music, including the song A stone’s throw from the seaaccompany the emotional evolution of the protagonist.

Sorrento, a protagonist setting

The setting is of great importance: Sorrento is not just a backdrop, but a living narrative presence. Lemon groves, views of the sea and bright alleys contrast with the tensions of the plot, creating a balance between Mediterranean light and personal intrigue. The fiction focuses on a complex female protagonist, divided between rationality and fragility, and on stories in which law becomes a mirror of relationships.
