Giammatteo Beekeeping, 25 hives were hit in what appears to be a deliberate raid, leaving destruction and disbelief in its wake. The first reconstructions speak of a targeted action, carried out with disturbing precision, which transformed a place of production and life into a scenario of devastation.
According to what the owners reported, thousands of bees were killed in a few hours. A very hard blow not only for the company, but for the entire environmental balance of the area. The sensation is that of a gesture that not only affects an economic activity, but an entire ecosystem that depends on these little creatures.
The dynamics of the gesture: cold and organized violence
The reconstruction speaks clearly and makes the matter even more serious. The hives would have been sealed with expanded foam, preventing any escape route. Sulfur would later be used to suffocate the colonies. A method which, according to the complaint, demonstrates a precise desire for annihilation. An action that reveals a disturbing level of cruelty and determination. The bees, trapped, had no chance of salvation. A gesture that is striking for its coldness and total lack of respect for life.

For beekeepers, the damage is not only material but profoundly human. Entire seasons of work, investments and sacrifices were canceled in a few hours. The beekeepers talk about nights of work, daily care and constant attention, suddenly canceled out by a violent and incomprehensible gesture. A blow that leaves a deep wound also on a moral level. Bees, biodiversity and damage that affects everyone
Bees are not just honey production: they are a pillar of biodiversity and agriculture. Their loss has consequences that go far beyond the individual farm. Without pollination, entire ecosystems risk weakening, with knock-on effects on the environment and food production. Destroying a hive means altering a balance built over millions of years.
