Let’s not miss the most beautiful show of October, the splendid full Hunter’s Moon

On the night between 5th and 26th October we don’t make any commitments, come back full moon! It will shine in particular Hunter’s Moonthe most evocative show of the month. Don’t miss it!

Because Hunter’s Moon

The full moon in October is called Hunter’s Moon in the American tradition: the natives had nicknamed it so because it was now necessary to collect food supplies for the approaching winter. In the fields there was a frenzy of hunting, in a period still without snow with many animals still “available”.

But this full moon was not always called that: first of all, sometimes it is also called Blood Moon or Blood Moon always because of the “ruthless” hunting, as well as being there Harvest Moon if closest to the autumnal equinox (that wasn’t the case this year, but it happened in 2020).

We will soon have thesolar timewhich came back into force just 24 hours earlier, between 24 and 25 October, but we will still be able to admire the show all night after sunset (on the map the sky of October 25, 2026 at 11.00 pm).

We turn our gaze to the South – South-East horizon, towards the constellation of Pisces, and admire the bright and beautiful lunar disk.

Don’t miss it!
