The wait is over for the return of the TV series Freeready for the debut of the second season on Rai1 from Sunday 25 October 2026 at 9.45pm. Consisting of 6 episodes of 50 minutes each, the new narrative shifts its focus from the protagonist’s personal past to a burning social topic. Libera Orlando, promoted to President of the Criminal Section of the Court and played by Lunetta Savino, is in fact entrusted with the trial against a young rapper accused of the femicide of Elena Palma.

Trieste protagonist: the iconic locations and filming in Friuli Venezia Giulia
The setting for the judicial and human events is once again Trieste, the authentic co-protagonist of the production created by 11 Marzo Film and Rai Fiction with the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission – PromoTurismoFVG. Filming, which began in February in Rome for 15 days and continued from 16 March between Muggia and the Julian capital for 7 weeks until 2 May, enhanced the most evocative views of the city.
The cameras passed through the monumental Piazza Unità d’Italia, the eighteenth-century Palazzo Carciotti, the Chamber of Commerce, the Ospedale Maggiore, Palazzo Galatti, the headquarters of the University and the Court. A work of territorial and cultural valorization that intertwines the charm of historical places with a story of great emotional impact.
