Coop recalls Castello Lager beer: here are the two batches not to be consumed

New recall on Coop shelves, this time for Castello lager beer sold in the cluster of three 33 centiliter bottles. The notice, published on the chain’s website, concerns only some points of sale, which however are not listed. The manufacturer itself triggered the recall, after identifying a defect in the packaging.

The recalled product

The beer in question is Castello lager in 0.33×3 cluster format, produced by Birra Castello spa. There are two lots affected, PL1596 and PL2116. The warning does not indicate any expiry date, so only the batch number remains to recognize the packages involved.

Because he was recalled

The reason given is a physical packaging problem. Nothing else is added, therefore it is not known what defect it is or whether it could have consequences on the contents of the bottles. Despite this, Coop leaves no room for interpretation and writes in capital letters not to consume the product.

What to do in case of purchase

The bottles of lots PL1596 and PL2116 should not be drunk and must be returned to the point of sale where they were purchased. For other batches of the same beer the recall does not include anything.
