Moon – Saturnthe romantic “kiss” comes back Monday 14 Octoberwe don’t miss it! The show, although not very rare, is always wonderful. With a clear sky the event could even be visible to the naked eyebut to better appreciate the Lord of the Ringsit is always good to equip yourself with at least a good pair of binoculars.
As the UAI explains, on the evening of October 14th we will see the Moon approaching Saturn and then moving away after the conjunction, at the minimum angular distance between the two stars, visible in the constellation of Aquarius (in the map the sky of October 14, 2024 at approximately 10.00 pm).
And let’s be ready, because this is just the beginning: our satellite, in fact, will also meet the Pleiades, then Mars and finally Jupiter.
Happy viewing!
