The full moon of August is called Luna della Storione in the American tradition because of the abundance of fish in Large lakes typical of this period. But August is also traditionally the month of grain collection and this is why this moon is also known as Wheat moon (The symbol of this moon is therefore the ear of wheat).
And sometimes it is also called Red moondue to the reddish halo that sometimes surrounds it due to summer heat. However, nothing to do with the “real” red moon, or our total eclipse satellite which actually becomes red as, not reached by the direct sunlight, it is illuminated only by the “filtered” sunlight by the terrestrial atmosphere that lets only the red visible component pass.

How it reports Moongiantthe moon will be full on August 9, technically at 9.55 Italian time. In order to admire the disc in its splendor we will therefore have to wait at least the sunset, after which the minimum differences in the brightness cannot be distinguished from our eyes.
So we raise our eyes to the sky and point them towards the constellation of Capricorn: time permitting, we will admire one Gorgeous full moon (on the map the Heaven of 9 August 2025 at about 22.00).
