Ariana Grande announced an important turning point in her career: the 2026 tour, Eternal Sunshinewill be his last big moment as a live singer. The star of Wicked: For Good he explained to Amy Poehler on the podcast Good Hang that it is a temporary farewell to music, a way to close a chapter and focus on new artistic challenges.
The singer, 32, specifies that the tour will be limited and she is not sure if she will return to performing live in the future. Grande defines this experience as a unique moment to celebrate his musical career, without excluding the possibility of future evolutions, but with a clear priority towards other art forms.

In recent years, Ariana Grande has sought to explore different artistic forms, feeling more connected to herself and her art. The singer says that focusing exclusively on pop music is no longer enough for her and that she now loves to dedicate herself to musical theater and comedy.

The attack during the Asian premiere
And right during the Asian premiere of Wicked: For Good in Singapore, Ariana Grande’s confidence was put to the test. A twenty-six year old Australian, Johnson Wen, actually climbed over a barrier and pounced on her. Ariana was promptly protected by co-star Cynthia Erivo, avoiding more serious consequences.
According to local media, Wen pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to nine days in prison. The man had already attempted to approach the red carpet previously and told the judge that he would not do so again.
Wen had also documented online his closeness to several celebrities, including Katy Perry, The Weeknd and The Chainsmokers, attending concerts and premieres. The attack immediately attracted great media attention, with viral videos showing the moment Grande was protected by her colleague on the red carpet.
